Running an analysis (Spec 4.1)

How to start and configure analyses.

From a project page, click New analysis. This follows Flow 1: Analyze a Figma File (v1) from the product spec.

  • Connect Figma (OAuth) and select design source: Figma file, specific page(s), starting screen(s) / flow entry points
  • Provide context: tech stack (React/Next, Vue, etc.), project type (SaaS, e-commerce, etc.), design system name if known
  • Select a vertical preset (SaaS, E-commerce, Healthcare, etc.) so analysis rules auto-apply for this run (Spec 5.5)
  • Click Run analysis — Blue Painter generates the Flow Report
  • Optional: set page name and starting screens (entry frames); these are stored in the analysis and shown in the report header and print/PDF view (Spec 4.1).
  • Optional: specify code paths for design–code gap; enable Expert Review for human UX review
